Basketball Nova Scotia governs the sport of Wheelchair Basketball in Nova Scotia. We work closely with Sport Nova Scotia’s Parasport Coordinator, as we continue to work towards the growth and development of athletes and coaches in the sport. We are members of Wheelchair Basketball Canada, the National Sport Organization (NSO) for Wheelchair Basketball in the country, on key initiatives to grow the sport , as well as, to field Provincial and National Teams to compete at the highest level of competition.
Wheelchair basketball is a fast-paced, hard-hitting, competitive sport. It’s one of the most inclusive para sports and prides itself on diversity while encouraging individuals with disabilities, as well as able-bodied participants of all ages to become active. Basketball Nova Scotia promotes growth of the sport in our province. With programs at the initiation, developmental and competitive levels for men and women.
