Born and raised in Truro, Mike MacKay is one of Canada’s most respected basketball educators and high-performance leaders. A longtime teacher and multi-sport coach at Cobequid Educational Centre, he led numerous provincial championship teams before joining Canada Basketball in 2004 as Manager of Coaching Education and Development.
Mike played a key role in modernizing Canada’s coaching and athlete development systems, including the NCCP and LTAD models, and later served as Performance Manager for Canada Basketball’s Women’s High Performance Program. His leadership helped shape the development pathway for many of Canada’s top athletes and coaches, contributing to Canada’s rise on the international stage.
Most recently, Mike was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in 2025 as a multisport builder. We are very fortunate to have Mike leading this clinic.
There is no cost to attend this clinic; however, we kindly ask that you complete the registration form so we can have an estimate of attendance numbers.
