We’re excited to share an amazing opportunity for your club to be part of a significant community event: the Halifax Outdoor Court Restoration Project at George Dixon Park, led by Buckets & Borders in partnership with Canada Basketball. This initiative is set to make a lasting impact in our community, and we’d love to have you and your team involved in the grand opening on Saturday, September 7.
Basketball Nova Scotia is proud to support this incredible project by promoting the event and encouraging coaches and players to participate in the festivities. This is more than just an opening ceremony - it’s a celebration of Halifax’s rich basketball history and a chance to help create a safe and inclusive space for youth to connect and play.
Event Details:
What’s Happening: The day will be filled with activities including free youth programming, coaching clinics, a local all-star game, and much more. This is a fantastic opportunity for your players to engage with the community, meet top coaches, and contribute to the legacy of basketball in Halifax.
How You Participate: We encourage you to spread the word within your club and inspire your players to attend. Even an hour of their time will show strong support for the project and help strengthen the bonds within our basketball community.
This event is a great chance for your team to be part of something truly special that will have a positive impact on the sport we all love. We hope to see your players at "The Square" on September 7th.
