Refund Policy

PLAYER / COACH CLINICS
Basketball Nova Scotia will refund fees collected for all High Performance Programs and National Coaching Certification (NCCP) clinics if the person registered for the clinic gives at least 5 DAYS NOTICE (prior to the start time of the event) on the cancellation. Any coaches intending on missing one or more modules within a training course are still required to submit full payment. A flat $25.00 administrative fee will be retained on all refunds. Special consideration will be given for family based emergency situations that caused the cancellation. 

PROVINCIAL TEAM / HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS
Basketball Nova Scotia will refund a portion of the fees collected if the athlete in question is injured and / or sick and unable to continue for the duration of the program.  A doctor’s note will be required indicating that the athlete in question is unable to physically continue with the program.  The amount refunded (if any) will be determined by the Basketball Nova Scotia Executive Director based on the time involved in the program and on the situation / reason for early withdrawal.  Any clothing or other personally used items will also be factored into the amounts refunded.  

PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Refunds will not be given to teams that have participated in the tournament for any reason including disciplinary reasons.  Teams preregistering for the tournament can request a refund PRIOR to the tournament schedule being released.  Once the tournament schedule is released, no refunds will be given to teams paying any tournament fees or deposits to Basketball Nova Scotia.  A flat $25.00 administrative fee will be retained on all refunds.  Special consideration will be given for family based emergency situations that caused the issue.

NSF CHEQUES 
Basketball Nova Scotia will charge a flat rate of $25.00 per cheque that is returned by our financial institution due to ‘insufficient funds’ or a ‘stop payment’.  The original amount of the item must be paid in full plus the $25.00 fee to Basketball Nova Scotia with cash, certified cheque, credit card, debit or money order immediately.
