Introducing "Inside Sessions - Lessons from the Top" - A Coach Development Series

Basketball Nova Scotia (BNS) is thrilled to announce the launch of its new coaching development initiative, "Inside Sessions - Lessons from the Top." This program is specifically designed to give club coaches a rare opportunity to learn from some of Nova Scotia's most experienced and respected post-secondary basketball coaches.

The "Inside Sessions" series is set to be a game-changer for community coaches looking to deepen their understanding of high-level coaching. Throughout the year, BNS will collaborate with top coaches from Nova Scotia's leading colleges and universities, offering participants the chance to observe live practices, engage in post-practice discussions, and gain valuable insights into advanced coaching strategies.

What to Expect:

The series is structured to provide an immersive learning experience. Community coaches are invited to attend select practices at participating colleges and universities, where they can watch and learn directly from head coaches. After each practice, there will be a debrief session, allowing participants to ask questions and discuss the techniques and strategies they observed.

How to Participate:

• Cost: The program is free for BNS member coaches. Non-member coaches can participate for a fee of $20.
• Capacity: Each session is limited to 10 participants, ensuring an intimate and focused learning environment.
• Registration Deadline: Coaches must register at least two days before each session.
